The Internet
Every once in a while it hits me how weird it is that we leave little crumbs of ourselves all over the internet. Like today, when I found this website I made when I was 12. A dozen years later and it’s crazy how today’s ‘tweens put me to shame. Heck, this one would make me look bad any day.
So 18th-century archaeologists used the Rosetta Stone to crack hieroglyphics. Will the early aughts be measured by defunct Live Journals and Frendster pages? Gross.
Update: AOL took down all Hometown sites on Oct. 31. A great loss for the world.
