MASS MoCA just launched a MONUMENTAL exhibition of the wall drawings of conceptual artist Sol LeWitt that you just must see. “Sol LeWitt: A Wall Drawing Retrospective,” includes 105 wall drawings by the artist, who died in 2007. Adding to the sheer power of the colossal work is the planning and effort that went into creating them — starting with LeWitt’s carefully worded instructions and ending with the six months of labor put in by the 65 artists and art students who recreated them. And I can’t even get the motivation to paint my bedroom.
It’ll be up for 25 years so no excuses on this one kids. Roadtrip?
