While I love Wetwang, Titty Ho, Crotch Crescent and Tumbledown Dick, the UK certainly isn’t the only place with throughly inappropriate place names. Let’s look at PA shall we?
There’s the Amish-country triangle of Blue Ball, Intercourse and Paradise. Plus nearby Pleasant Gap and Bird in Hand.
And what else is out there in the US?
In Maryland, there are areas with names that include Scaggsville, Crapo and Boring. Virginia has Bumpass, Fourway, and Nuttsville. Coffee, Mississippi. Beaver Lick, Arkansas. And who wouldn’t want to live in Dick Lick Springs? Or my personal favorite: Bat Cave, NC?
